"البته ایران امروز یک مقداری فضا با فضای دوران قبل از انقلاب فرق می‌کند، یعنی به هرحال در ایران الان هر چقدر هم که سرکوب را مفروض بگیرید و هر چقدر به آن اذعان داشته باشید؛ باز هم یک فضای عمومیِ بحث و گفت و گو وجود دارد که در دوران پهلوی وجود نداشت. شما در دانشگاه می‌توانید جلسه بگذارید و کسانی که منتقدان بسیار جدی این رژیم هستند بنشینند و گفت و گو بکنند. چنین کاری در زمان شاه امکان‌پذیر نبودش. الان روزنامه‌هایی هستند که در آن‌ها انتقادهای فراوانی به دولت می‌شود و بسیاری از مسایل فکری جامعه مورد بحث قرار می‌گیرد. این‌ها منفذهایی هستش که در دوره شاه وجود نداشتش یا حداقل در دوران متاخر شاه وجود نداشتش. من خیلی خوب می‌توانم این را احساس بکنم. حتی در همین دوران بعد از احمدی‌نژاد وقتی من نگاه می‌کنم کتاب‌هایی که در ایران چاپ می‌شود با وجود سخت‌گیری‌های آقای صفار هرندی و تمام سانسوری که اعمال می‌کند، وقتی شما سعی می‌کنید یک مقداری نسبی‌گرا باشید و مسایل را با هم با انصاف بسنجید، می‌بینید در جامعه امروز ایران، منفذهایی وجود دارد که آن موقع وجود نداشت."
"به نظر من باز شدن این منفذ و عوض شدن نسبی طرز فکر مبارزین سیاسی می‌تواند راهی برای اصلاحات باز بکند (طبيعتا يك رژيم اشغالگر و ضد ايرانی از ديد آورندگان و نگهبانانش نياز به "اصلاحات" دارد!). الان جنبش زنانی داریم که حق برابری می‌خواهد و مساله او مساله حکومت و نظام سیاسی جامعه نیستش، این خودش یک حرکت کاملاً جدیدی هستش (ترجمه: اين خودش كاملا همان چيزی "هستش" كه ما می خواهيم و شب و روز در همين "راديو زمانه" عزيز هم برايش تبليغ ميشود)."

روشن می شود كه منظور از آن تيتر فريبنده، "از می ۶۸ درس نگرفتیم و انقلاب کردیم"، رساندن پشيمانی اين جانور از انتقام ٥٧ نبوده (از همين چند بند بالا می توان نتيجه گرفت ايشان تا چه اندازه پشيمان است و تاسف می خورد)، بلكه اندرزی است به خواننده، كه شما انقلاب نكيد! كه البته بياد داريم اين "نصيحت" چندی پيش از زبان ابراهيم يزدی نيز شنيده شد.

You are spot on in your analysis of the true intentions and ultimate goals of this charlatan are. Every once in a while, one of these despicable characters has to open his mouth and let us be reminded of what vile and shameless vermin they really are. Whether it is Hekmat or the murderer “Yazdi” (or even “Esfandiar Monfaredzadeh”, making an appearance recently on a satellite TV interview program, wherein he vehemently and with a straight face denied that “intellectuals” had anything to do at all with the victory of the “revolution”!), the common denominator of the Iranian “intellectuals” and pre-revolutionary political activists is their undying hatred of the Pahlavies (putting aside their treachery, ignorance, hubris, bone-worship, and sympathy for terrorists). To traitors like Hekmat, it is utterly unimportant to compare pre and post revolutionary Iran as far as such basic human rights as the freedoms of association, religion, travel, occupation, gender equality, and elementary social liberties such as listening to the music you enjoy or wearing the clothing that suits you. No. These “novel” ideas do not apply when one has to render a judgment on the Pahlavies. It is also apparently of no significance that in the “repressive” and “oppressive” Pahlavi era, nearly all the books (certainly all the “controversial” ones) of such anti-Shah icons as “Jalal Al-Ahmad” and “Gholamhossein Saaedi” were published!
Iran will not be politically liberated until such time that either the Iranian pre-revolutionary “intellectual” class is justly, roundly, decisively and unequivocally discredited and retired to lives of infamy, or forced into candid admissions similar to that of “Homa Naateq” that what she and her fellow “intellectuals” did in fueling the revolution was an act tantamount to “eating feces”!
