Just received the news from an Iranian source in Sweden that the Islamic Republic’s embassy in Stockholm has been “taken over” by Iranian protestors.

It was not immediately clear if anyone was hurt. SVT said Friday that about 20 police patrols arrived on the scene.

I read on Twitter they were successful in storming the building. I wonder what the regime's reaction will be. Furthermore, out of strict curiosity, I'd like to know what these guys were planning to accomplish. Glad to see you're back blogging!

Good to still have you with us. It was just a show of protest, and I don’t think that a “take over” was ever planned. The latter requires dedication to the cause, which the overwhelming majority of those who call themselves “Iranian” simply don’t have. One can’t blame them to want to live peaceful, normal lives in the host countries. As to the republican’s response, I don’t think they can do much, besides a written protest to the Swedish government, which, incidentally, has been a close economic partner for years.
However, don’t be surprised to see one or more such incidents in the next few weeks.
