British withdrawal from Basra

ديروز به يكی از هم ميهنان توضيح می دادم كه مهم ترين خبر روز خروج نيروهای نظامی انگلستان از بصره (به پايگاهی در ١١-١٢ كيلومتری بصره) يا به عبارتی ديگر سپردن (اينبار آشكار) آن شهر به تروريستها و ميليشاهای اسلامی ‌ا‌ست. ايشان توضيح دادند كه ‌اطمينان دارند انگلستان (كه ‌احتمالا تا كنون با اسلاميون در نبرد بوده!) "فقط بخشی" از نيروهايش را از بصره بيرون آورده است. در پايين به چند منبع خبری لينك داده ام تا خواننده ی گرامی خودشان ببيند آن چه كه به ايشان گفتم درست بوده يا نه:

Washington Post: British troops completed a withdrawal from downtown Basra on Monday, moving to an airport outside the city, their last base in Iraq. The departure leaves the center of Iraq's second-largest city (just “the center”, if there are no British troops left?!!) in the hands of Iraqi security units in which Shiite militias have strong influence…The base now contains all the British troops remaining in Iraq…Rosemary Hollis, a Middle East security expert at Chatham House, a foreign policy research group in London, said the Basra region has become "gangland" territory. She said there is factional fighting over oil and smuggling operations. "It's a bad situation," she said, and one in which the British troops realized that they could not "appreciably change the situation."

New York Daily News: British troops vacate last base in Basra, turn it over to locals: British soldiers began withdrawing yesterday from their final remaining base inside the southern Iraqi city of Basra…

Times Online (Britain): “The British withdrawal with all the militias and corrupt police in Basra is very dangerous for the city. We should have more trust in the Iraqi security forces before the British left,” said Kathum Jawad, 34, a doctor. “I can’t feel safe any more and I think the militias will start looting and kidnapping and killing without any forces to stop them.”

The Financial Times: Basra's political scene is fragmented, even by the standards of the Iraqi south, rent by conflicts between Shia Islamist political parties and movements…The rivalry between the radical Sadrist movement and the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council, common throughout the Shia parts of the country, is complemented by other feuds involving the Fadhila party, which is strong in municipal politics, and the Thar Allah (God's Revenge) movement…Some of the parties have strong followings in the police, whose members have been implicated in assassinations and hostage-taking, and in local paramilitary guard forces. Extensive oil smuggling as well as quarrels over government appointments helps fuel the fighting between the groups.

اين هم نوشته ای از جناب افراسيابی، آفتابه بردار خاتمی. ‌البته با يك يادآوری كوچك كه از ديد من، و برخلاف تبليغات "اپوزيسيونی"، ايشان (مانند تريتا پارسی، هوشنگ امير احمدی و...)، موضع برخی از محافل غربی را در باره ی نقش نوكران دست نشانده ی خودشان بازتاب می دهد، و نه لزوماً موضع جمهوری اسلامی را.
